Register Online For Classes

We offer a wide variety of classes ranging from Puppy Kindergarten, through Advanced Competitive Obedience and Agility.  Classes are offered weekdays, weeknights and weekends.

Puppy Kindergarten
  • Learn to prevent problem behavior.
  • Socialize to people, other dogs, noises, different surfaces, and more.
  • Be prepared for each developmental stage and the behaviors you'll see.
  • Teach Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Come, Self Control, Leave It, Emergency Brake Downs, Vet Office Exams, and Walking on a loose leash and a trick or two if you are so inclined.
  • Start as early as 8 weeks!
  • Classes are ongoing - Start the week you are ready, no waiting.

Everyday Obedience
  • Basic obedience with reality based training to cover being a family member with appropriate manners.
  • Incorporates all the elements of the Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Training certification tests. 
  • This class is appropriate for any dog.
  • Classes are ongoing - Start the week you are ready, no waiting.
  • Monday's 7:15 Tuesday 6:30, Saturday 1pm.

Q. How long do I have to wait to start classes?
A. Generally, immediately. All of our classes are ongoing - you may start at any time.
 
Q. I just adopted my dog, when can I start classes?
A. We recommend waiting until after your first veterinary visit and at least 2 weeks from adoption date. It is advisable to begin training immediately. Ask about our in-home training program to start your new dog out on the right paw
  Q. My puppy is 8 weeks old, when is the best time to start classes?  
  A. Since learning is taking place 24/7. training must begin immediately. All of our classes are ongoing - you may start at any time. Please consult with your vet, and breeder, for the best time to join a class.  
     
Q. My puppy has had his first vaccination, when can I start classes?
  A. It it recommended that you begin training and socializing IMMEDIATELY.  Critical development periods will not wait for your vaccination program to be complete. To have the best possible adult dog it is CRITICAL to socialize your puppy intelligently. PLEASE READ - This letter is written to the veterinary community by one of it's own well respected members!

Please consult with your vet, breeder, and trainer for the best time to join a class. All of our classes are ongoing - you may start at any time.

Membership
A yearly fee of $150 for an individual or $175 for a family will yield 20% off classes, reserved spots for events, and more!
This is a great savings for families that want to train together in the same or different classes, someone taking more than one class per week or has multiple dogs in training. Kids & k9’s Day Camp

Did they say they would take care of the dog and then leave it to you?? Help them to hold up their end of the bargain. This is a fun class focusing on responsible ownership, basic obedience, and an introduction to agility. This is a 1 week camp.  (Prerequisites: a dog and a kid)

Competitive Obedience

 

These classes will teach all exercises and handling techniques for AKC and UKC competition obedience from Novice to Utility including non-regular classes. The classes will be offered as Novice/Open and Open/Utility. These are 6 week classes and private lessons are available.  

Obedience Training Parties

A gathering of dogs and owners to train together. Guidance and instruction are available if desired or needed. Training Parties are Sunday mornings on a drop-in basis. We strongly suggest calling ahead to let us know you are coming. We frequently hold "run thrus" to simulate a show atmosphere for training and proofing purposes.

Agility is one of the most exciting things you can do with your dog!  We offer classes ranging from the Introduction to Agility Obstacles and Learning Theory, through advanced, Competitive Agility.  Most classes are 6 week sessions and private lessons are available.  Training Parties are every Sunday, and we frequently hold "run thrus".  Come have some fun with your dog!!!

Breed Handling 

Dreaming of showing your dog at Westminster Kennel Club? Take a breed handling class taught by professional handlers. Learn how to stack your dog to show him off in his best light, learn gaiting techniques, and socialize puppies. This is a 6 week class. Instructors will rotate for this class.
