Awards
Immediately following each trial, qualifying ribbons will be awarded to each dog/owner team who achieves a score of 170 or better.   Placement ribbons will be awarded to the top 5 high scoring teams at each level, both for those who have already achieved titles (and are accumulating ARCH points), and for those currently working toward Level 1 or Level 2 titles.
Special Awards
Rosettes & special prizes will be awarded to the High Scoring Team in the following categories and require pre-registration.
Veterans Dog - 8yrs + Junior Handler - 16yrs & younger
Mixed Breed Senior Handler - 65yrs +
Rescue Dog Physically Challenged Handler
Physically Challenged Dog

  • All are located in within 20 miles of the show site.

  • Super 8 and Holiday Inn are the best choices, with Super 8 being significantly cheaper. 

  • High Falls Motel has only 9 rooms. Sue Sternberg suggests this motel for all her events. I have not personally been to the motel.

Directions to Trial Site

The Ulster County Fairground is located on Libertyville Road , just 2 miles from the heart of New Paltz

From the South and North -

Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 18 New Paltz.

Take a left onto Route 299 West through the village and follow signs to

Libertyville Road - first left after crossing bridge outside of town.

From the East -

Mid-Hudson Bridge North on Route 9W to Route 299 West to the

village of New Paltz . Follow signs to Libertyville Road . First left after

crossing bridge outside of town.

From the West -

From Rt 209 In Kerhonkson, take 44/55 East over mountain to Rt 299

East. Right turn onto Libertyville Road - approximately 2 miles.

Once at Fairgrounds – Make left to enter designated gate proceed to 4H building
